The mask of a real Phantom by Sylent-Fantome The mask of a real Phantom by Sylent-Fantome
I know not very artistic, but when I explain the reason for making it perhaps you will understand. Someone I know was actually born deformed and actually wore masks up until the time he got major plastic surgery. This is actually one of his masks and he is a huge Phantom phan as well. His life kind of paralleled a good deal of what Kay wrote in her novel as well as Gaston. I made this logo for him a while back. I thought perhaps you guys might enjoy it.

It's good that he was able to meet a friend like you who could see past his deformity. :) I hope I don't sound insensitive when I say this, but I'm curious; what did the deformity look like?

Not in the least. He was able to later in life get surgery by one of the top surgeons for facial deformities, so he looks as if there was never a deformity to begin with, unless you get very close to his face.

His face looks some what like a cross between Leroux and ALW phantom only it's over his whole face not just to the right side. I was actually thinking about doing a Photo manip reflecting the deformity if it's ok with him.

He must have been so glad to finally have his deformity transformed into something beautiful. I'm glad to hear that he's doing fine! :D

You know he told me some days he regrets it because when you look in the mirror it isn't your face staring back.

Yeh. It is oddly if i ever get it written down I think i'd publish as fiction because it's pretty personal. It's very interesting though.

It's ironic and heartwarming that there's the POTO story for him to relate to. I've heard of one other person in a similar situation.

yeh it is very odd it fit him so well.Imagine his shock when he read Kay. Although his mother was way worse then Leroux or Kay sadly. it gave me a huge insight into how Erik would really have acted in public as well as around people not exactly how I would expect.

That's very sad about his mother. I hope sometime your friend gets to read my novel. My Erik's mother was absolutely horrid to him. The story in my novel is heartbreaking, but also exhilarating. There are flashbacks that include the full story about his mother and father. It makes readers weep with heartache (me too), but they also laugh with joy later. There is erotica, but it is isolated between the 2 main characters, and does not deter or interfere with the suspenseful plots and sub-plots. I think your friend might really enjoy reading my novel. It gives hope to those who have none. That is the purpose of the story.

Why is it creepy? Well he looked kind of like ALW's Phantom mixed with David Staller only the upper half of his face.
